WebFeb 1, 2024 · Long story short, the local GC has a Peavey Mark IV bass head for $199. I played on it with my bass through a Peavey 4x12 and then through an SWR 4x10. Needless to say, neither cab sounded good at all through that head. Regardless of changing the head settings or my bass settings, both cabs sounded muddy and distorted.
