That method is an unnecessarily difficult and complicated way to present the letter sounds. So the C is indeed a very important letter and has no reason to feel ashamed because it makes no sound on it own. WitrynaWhy is letter C used to indicate S-like and K-like sounds? The answer is not “because it is”. English’s spelling is certainly less than logical much, if not most, of the time, but however much it seems that the system was invented one day by a sadistic drunk guy, that’s not the case.
