By this definition alone, deviance is neither good nor bad, but must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Such behavior may be described as “different,” or “unexpected,” and may elicit positive or negative responses from other people. WebThese acts can be small, everyday gestures or larger, more significant actions, but what sets them apart is their proactive and benevolent nature. Positive deviant acts can come in many forms, including volunteering, donating time or resources to a good cause, helping a stranger in need, or simply showing kindness and compassion to those around us.
