I have that particular lens also. It is a convenient lens to have, is well constructed, but surprisingly, it doesn't have the sharpness factor of the Tamron 18-200.

WebJun 12, 2024 · I've seen many reviews says otherwise. 18-150mm is "superzoom" and 55-200mm "telezoom", so that's obvious that superzooms are more compomised. 55-200mm is also a little brighter (bigger aperture in comparable focal lenghts). But of course there is always copy variation - good 18-150mm might be better than bad 55-200mm. They were both soft in the left side. I liked 55-200. But my favourite combo for landscape shooting is 11-22 and 18-150. I missed many times 23-54 range when I was shooting with 11-22 and 55-200.
